Love, like and life

Today when i was out an incident happened where someone said out loud how much he loved someone else.
Now the incident was pretty funny and all but it just got me thinking about the concept
All around the world couples say to each other ''I love you'', it could be one of the most popular phrases ever, hell even ive said it.
Now lets talk about cliches, the definition of a cliche is '' A trite or overused expression or idea''
Now im NOT saying that ''I love you'' is an overused expression, because in the right circumstances ''i love you'' can mean so much and can express an entire ocean of feeling that could never be fully expressed in a physical way.
BUT i think that saying ''i love you'' like it is said so often today IS a cliche.
You know what i mean, nowadays in almost every relationship, even the ones you have when you are 12 or 11 you say to your bf or gf, i love you.
I mean my sister who is 12 had a bf or something and i heard plenty of i love you's.
Now are you going to tell me that a girl/boy at that age has the maturity to understand the complexity and the sacrifice necessary to love someone other than possibly their parents, NO.
They have been around their parents since they have been born so thats ok.
I just feel that the meaning of the phrase has been downgraded to represent even simple feelings like infatuation or desire, or physical attraction, or ''like''
I feel that replacing those words with love is totally misleading and wrong.
I mean i dont think someone who is so young can have the maturity necessary to represent the full meaning of the word love, a word that carries vast undertones and subtleties.
I mean you LOVE your parents, and most people would do almost ANYTHING for your parents, to the extent of suffering physical harm, and most parents LOVE their kids to the extent that they would die for them. Or Gods LOVE for us, where he came and Died for us, or where Christians who really LOVE God would Die for Him.
Now that is LOVE.
I dont think saying i love you and being willing to buy stuff for the person, or maybe stand up for them, or sleep with them, or share affection with them is enough, i dont think its a right application of such a strong powerful word.
Now there are acceptions to every rule and there are some young couple who do truly understand the power of the word i hope (u know who im talking about waltrezac).
Anyway i gotta go now, so i just hope this can help u all understand a different frame of mind.
